Good50x70
The international design competition Good50x70 embraces ethical and social design in order to protect
the environment and the most challenged individuals.
Designers and artists from all over the world are invited to participate to the contest (for additional information please visit our website: www.good50x70.org ). They have to submit posters in the 50×70 format, following the briefs set by seven famous NGOs: Amnesty International, Amref, Emergency Greenpeace, Libera, Lila e WWF, on the basis of their annual campaign.
An international jury will select the winner posters, for each brief, that will take part in an itinerant exhibition moving not only through Italy but also abroad. Posters will be preferably shown in public spaces in order
to reach a wider audience.
The contest is now at its fourth edition and has been praised by public institutions. It is held, since its first edition, under the patronage of Unesco and, then, of Segretariato Sociale della Rai and Fondazione Pubblicità Progresso.
It won the 2007 Premio Aretè for the best social communication project. In 2009 it was classified 3rd
in the European Design Award. And in 2010 it received a medal from the President of Italian Republic Giorgio Napolitano as representative prize.
The number of participants has been growing steadily. Since its beginning, more than 9,000 designers from 81 countries have been involved in this project. Until now over 8000 posters are at free disposal of every NGO that needs them. 34 are the workshops realized and 62 the exhibitions, both in Italy and abroad.
